Behind the brand
Can an accessory reflect your uniqueness and inner-beauty?
I am a strong believer in the fact that what you wear is a reflection of yourself.
And by extension, a hair adornment is a small piece of art that reflects on the outside, the way you feel on the inside, your essence, femininity, uniqueness and inner-beauty.
That's why the accessories I create aspire to be an expression of femininity, a celebration of it and a way for you to wear your emotions. Because when you choose to do that, I feel it as an act of self-love and authenticity. And that's exactly what I want to help you embody.
From dreamy silk hair flowers and birdcage veils, to poetic crowns dipped in gold, Maria Felea accessories combine modern aesthetics with a hint of vintage nostalgia.
All headpieces and veils are handmade in my Paris based studio, using premium quality materials. I value excellence and fine craftsmanship and in the creation process, one of the brands core value remains the well being of animals. With these principles in mind, I choose only premium natural materials, avoiding leather and fur. I do use in exchange substitutes for them like vegan or faux leather , as well as fine silks, delicate french laces, embroideries, Swarovski crystals or pearls and vintage millinery findings.
So, whether you are preparing to say "yes" to that special love in your life, are attending an event or you simply want to celebrate your beautiful, authentical self, you're in the right place. I'm here to help you find the accessory that best completes your personality and underlines your natural interior beauty.
Meet the designer
The creative behind the Maria Felea brand.
Let me share with you a little bit about myself and how I entered into this beautiful world of millinery.
I grew up as a very tactile oriented child, always exploring the world around me through it, from touching trees, the air, the water, to making statues out of mud and crowns out of wild flowers.
I truly enjoyed the process of creating something with my hands, taking a chunk of clay or a piece of wood and telling a story with it.
As I grew up, my educational and professional path became less design oriented, obtaining a degree in Literature.
Although I loved using words to share my stories, my biggest passion remained the art of telling stories with my hands.
And so, in 2010 I stepped into the world of jewelry making, only for a few years later to discover the magical universe of delicate lace and silk hair flowers, also known as millinery.
I am a self taught artist and in a world of mass production, I strive to create accessories that are unique and authentique, little pieces of wearable art that through time, become precious heirlooms and constant reminders of your inner beauty and uniqueness.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and I am delighted to connect with you!
